The Mandala Within: An Experiential Introduction to Mandalas and Inner Work

  • Anam Cara: Inner Work for Soulful Living 221 1st Avenue Northwest Hickory, NC, 28601 United States (map)

Please note that this is a free community event offered via Meetup. Reserve your spot on the Meetup site.

Across cultures and throughout history, circular images have appeared as symbols of wholeness, balance, and inner order. In Jungian psychology, the mandala is understood as a natural expression of the psyche’s movement toward integration — often emerging during times of transition, growth, or inner searching.

In this experiential gathering, we will explore the psychological and symbolic meaning of mandalas through both reflection and creative practice. You’ll receive a brief, accessible introduction to Carl Jung’s understanding of mandalas, followed by a guided opportunity to create and engage with your own circular image as a way of listening inwardly.

No artistic experience is needed. The emphasis is not on producing something beautiful, but on approaching image-making as a form of soul attention — allowing shape, color, and pattern to express something of your inner life.

This event is well suited for those who are curious about Jungian psychology, drawn to symbolic or creative practices, or simply interested in new ways of cultivating self-awareness. All materials will be provided. You are warmly invited to come with openness and curiosity
